Nan Still

I have lived along the Russian River since May 2008. Before that I painted the River area during times spent at my cabin in Guerneville while living and working in San Francisco. My palette is the greens of the redwoods, the golds of the vineyards and the blues of the river. I try to capture the beauty and elegance of the Northern California forests, the charming characteristics of the older cottages, the ever changing vineyards and life on the Russian River. I studied art at San Francisco City College and have shown in cafes throughout the City. In Sonoma county I have participated in many group shows including the Watercolor Artists Of Sonoma County Aqua Areas 2003 exhibition, the Healdsburg Center for the arts in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012. I have had three one-artist shows at Pedroncelli winery in Healdsburg. In 2011 I became a member of the Russian River Art Gallery.
