Camille S. Hoffman - Potter
Coastal inspiration can be the colors of the water, fish in the sea or the coastal poppies along the shoreline.
My journey with clay started when I was a child, growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area and made pinch pots from clay that I dug out of our backyard. At 14, I discovered the potter’s wheel at my high school and the journey of clay just became my inner soul.
After 50 + years immersed in clay, my creative force feels like it is just beginning as I am constantly learning something new and exciting with this incredible medium.
My work is a collection of ceramic art that is for life and home. I do a variety of shapes and styles, from Mid-Century Modern to the present. I use local clays that I have dug from Pacifica and Santa Rosa and use them for slips and the base clays are a variety of white stoneware, porcelain and red clays. I use a variety of different USA commercially made glazes and underglazes and I am represented on Coyote Clay Company's Website in the Enduro line of restaurant quality glazes.
My work is represented at Jack London Historical State Park's gift shop.
